"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, 'Take and eat; this is my body.' Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, 'Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.'" 
  
The Holy Eucharist completes Christian initiation. Those who have been raised to the dignity of the royal priesthood by Baptism and configured more deeply to Christ by Confirmation participate with the whole community in the Lord's own sacrifice by means of the Eucharist. 
  
The Eucharist is the heart and the summit of the Church's life, for in it Christ associates his Church and all her members with his sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving offered once for all on the cross to his Father; by this sacrifice he pours out the graces of salvation on his Body which is the Church. 
  
First Holy Communion: If you or your child is seeking to receive our Lord in the Eucharist for the first time please contact the Faith Formation Director.  

Homebound and Sick: If you are unable to come and share the Eucharist at Mass, and would like to be listed as one of our sick or homebound please call the parish office at 932-3294 to arrange a visit. 

Christ instituted this sacrament for our daily spiritual nourishment and wills that all may "take and eat."
